Ingredients:
l lb ground beef
onion to taste
salt and pepper to taste
3 Cups Egg Noodles
2 cans tomato soup
1 ½ cups canned string beans
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Brown 1 lb hamburger (with onion) and season with salt and pepper.
2. Cook 3 cups egg noodles in salted water and drain.
3. Mix with the following ingredients in a 2½ quart casserole dish: tomato soup and canned string beans.
4. Top with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
5. Bake at 375◦ F for about 25 minutes, or until hot and bubbling.

This recipe was one I was asked to prepare for a work project held to
renovate an old Ratthaus in Hahn, Germany, and convert it into an LDS
chapel for the small branch there. We were living in Sembach and
attended church in Kaiserslautern, and Greg was in the elders quorum
presidency at the time. We spend several Saturdays on this project. We
loved the casserole and so I made it often through the years – although
usually I cut the quantities in half for our family unless we were
having company.
